Rio Secco Golf Club

Butch Harmon. Natalie Gulbis. Rees Jones. Tiger Woods.

Those are just a few of the huge names from the world of golf who are associated with Rio Secco Golf Club, one of the top golf experiences in Southern Nevada. Rees Jones, the U.S. Open doctor, twirled his design magic to create Rio Secco and the course has been making jaws drop ever since he created it.

The course sprawls beautiful in the foothills of the Black Mountain Range just a few miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. Dramatic course features include 6 holes through steep canyons, 6 holes on a plateau overlooking the city and 6 holes in a broad desert wash. Rio Secco is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment, Inc. but welcomes guests from all resorts in Las Vegas. But the Caesars Entertainment makes a golf journey at Rio Secco extra special.

The Butch Harmon School of Golf home facility is located at Rio Secco Golf Club, and a who’s who of the PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour are there on a daily basis working on their games. Those stars, such as Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Gulbis, are known to play the course and/or eat lunch in the clubhouse that overlooks the Las Vegas valley. Gulbis lives in the Las Vegas area and is a regular at Rio Secco and has hosted the Natalie Gulbis Charity Classic at the facility. Great news for the everyday golfer is that golf schools are available for every level of player and not just the top pros in the world.

Tiger Woods has held Tiger Jam, a major fundraiser for the Tiger Woods Foundation, at Rio Secco several times, and he also owns the Rio Secco course record of 64. That round came in the week leading up to the 2000 U.S. Open when he blew away the field at Pebble Beach.

Rio Secco Golf Club is also known as the home course of the world-famous T-Mates female caddies who bring both golf knowledge and Vegas excitement to any round. The T-Mates are available for individual foursomes and corporate events.

Rio Secco is also the home of the Million Dollar Hole where golfers have a chance to make a hole-in-one for a cool million bucks. Every time a golfer plays Rio Secco they have a chance to qualify for the shot at a million plus a VIP trip to Las Vegas. The Million-Dollar hole has become a favorite of all golfers at Rio Secco, and the top qualifiers earn a VIP trip back to Las Vegas for a chance to make a shot for a million dollars.

The Rio Secco Golf Club clubhouse features a restaurant and bar, private locker area, and a fully-stocked pro shop in addition to other amenities. Corporate and charity events, and weddings are always welcome at Rio Secco and will be organized by an experienced event staff.
