Horodesky-Bauman, Foggia-Steele, Sessa-Harley SNGA Team Arroyo Titles
The teams of Greg Horodesky-Eric Bauman (Championship), David Foggia-John Steele (Silver) and Andy Sessa-Shane Harley (Net) won titles at the 2024 SNGA Tour stop at Arroyo Golf Club. Greg Horodesky put the three birdies on the scorecard the team needed as he and Eric Bauman won the Championship Division by three strokes.
It was Horodesky’s second win of 2024 while Bauman won for the first time this year.
“It wasn’t the easiest of days with the wind,” Horodesky said. “We made two bad bogeys…I three-putted one green and Eric got in trouble trying to get up and down on a hole. You never want to make bogeys in an event like this.”
Despite the bogeys, Horodesky said the duo had a good day.
“Other than those bogeys, everything else was pretty solid,” he said. “We weren’t stressing over making pars and that’s good…especially with the grass around these greens. It was thick and that made it tough because you weren’t sure if shots were going to check up or roll out on the green.”
Despite making just three birdies on the day (both players birdied the 17th), Horodesky said giving themselves a chance was the key.
“You always want to both be putting for birdie,” he said. “If one of you is in your pocket, it puts more pressure on your partner. We didn’t do that often but when we did, we picked each other up.”

David Foggia and John Steele opened with a bogey but then played the next 17 holes at six-under-par to post the victory.
Foggia had four birdies on the day while Steele added two birdies. It was Foggia’s fifth win of 2024 while Steele got into the winner’s circle for the first time this year.
“We both played pretty well today,” Foggia said. “After starting with that bogey, we made six six birdies and didn’t get in any trouble.”
Foggia added both of them had their share of success on the greens.
“John also played very well and putted well,” Foggia said. “We both made some nice putts when we needed them.”

Andy Sessa had two net eagles in a five-hole stretch as he and partner Shane Harley went on to win the Net Division in a three-way scorecard playoff.
For the round, Sessa had the two net eagles to go along with three net birdies while Harley added seven birdies (six net and one natural). The duo did have birdies on the same hole twice.
It was the first SNGA win for both players.
Harley said the net eagles paved the way for their first time in the winner’s circle.
“That’s Andy at his best,” Harley said. “He’s just a smooth putter. I don’t know what channel he’s on but I’m trying to find it.”
He said they have played a good deal of golf together over the last year and a half and both see their games improving.
“We know our shots and what we need to work on,” he said. “We’ve both been trying to improve. It hasn’t been a straight line, but there’s been improvement and this win shows the work is paying off.”
Harley said playing in SNGA events has been a treat.
“Being out there with all of these guys has been great,” he said. “Everyone’s always been supportive. It’s just beautiful.”
