Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Night of Induction Is a Must-Attend Event

The official kick-off to Las Vegas’ PGA TOUR event, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, is the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Night of Induction, which takes place Friday, October 16, at The Hill at TPC Summerlin. Honorees this year are the late Voss Boreta, who revolutionized the golf retail business internationally while creating the Las Vegas Golf and Tennis franchise; longtime amateur and volunteer Barbara Christensen; former Western High School golfer Jerry Foltz who also played professionally and is now an analyst on Golf Channel; and Doug Pool, who is one of the best lifetime amateurs in the history of Southern Nevada.The event is also the perfect kick-off to the Shriners event that has been bringing some of the best professional golfers in the world to Las Vegas for the last four decades.“Four years ago, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame started an important partnership that I’m thrilled to continue and be a part of,” said Patrick Lindsey, Tournament Director for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.  “This partnership helps kick off what is always a memorable week of golf activities in Las Vegas and the perfect opportunity for the Las Vegas Golf Community to reflect on the incredible history the game of golf has given this region.  I congratulate the new inductees on this incredible honor and thank them for their dedication to the game of golf.”Once again, you owe it to yourself to attend the Night of Induction, especially if you know one of the inductees.
