SNGA cruises to the win in Southern Nevada Cup 8 1/2 to 3 1/2

The Southern Nevada Golf Association won a battle over the PGA Chapter of Southern Nevada in the 1st annual Southern Nevada Cup on November 19-20. 

Teams are made up of 6 scratch division players and 2 senior divisions players on each team.

Day 1 was a team best ball format at Dragonridge Country Club. Day 2 was singles matches at Reflection Bay Golf Club.

SNGA led the PGA 3 to 1 after Day 1. Here were the results:

James Hill/Doug Pool (SNGA) vs. Tom Fischer/Scott Greer (PGA)  – PGA won 2&1

AJ McInerney/Zane Thomas (SNGA) vs. Landon Nelson/Andrew Valainis (PGA)  –  SNGA won 5&4

Darrell Lutey/Jack Trent (SNGA) vs. Jason Edminston/Tom Storey (PGA)  – SNGA won 4&3

Kenny Ebalo/Gilberto Herrera (SNGA) vs. Jason Pomroy/James Derella (PGA) – SNGA won 3&2

 

Here were the results from the Singles Matches for Day 2:

Jason Edminston (PGA) vs AJ McInerney (SNGA) – SNGA 7&6

Jason Pomroy (PGA) vs. Kenny Ebalo (SNGA) – SNGA 5&3

Andrew Valainis (PGA) vs. Zane Thomas (SNGA) – SNGA 3&1

James Derella (PGA) vs. Jack Trent (SNGA) – SNGA 2&1

Tom Storey (PGA) vs Darrell Lutey (SNGA) – SNGA 3&2

Landon Nelson (PGA) vs. Gilberto Herrera (SNGA) – PGA 3&2

Tom Fischer (PGA) vs. Doug Pool (SNGA) – Halved

Scott Greer (PGA) vs James Hill (SNGA) – PGA 3&2

 

The SNGA won 8 1/2 to 3 1/2 over the PGA
