Bryan Baird (Championship), Tim Bremer (Senior), Tony Caiazzo (Silver) and Kaleb Jenkins (Net) won titles in the 2025 SNGA Tour event at Spanish Trail. The tournament was held Nov. 25, 2025, at Spanish Trail Country Club on the Lakes and Sunrise courses.–by Bill Bowman, Las Vegas Golf Insider

Championship

Bryan Baird finished birdie-eagle-birdie-par to rally and win the Championship Division in a scorecard playoff over Grant McKay.

It was Baird’s second win of 2025.

Baird, who is a full-time poker player who moved to Las Vegas in 2009, said the finish was unexpected.

“The Sunrise course is pretty getable so it was great to finish that strong,” Baird said. “But the front nine was a complete disaster. I started with a double bogey and that’s a less than stellar way to start.”

But he rallied with a four-under-par back nine.

“I got the wheels back on track and it was just a great way to finish,” he said. “The eagle really helped a lot. I hit a good drive down the right side and had 265 to the flag and hit it to about 20 feet and made the putt.”

He said the battle with McKay was a good one.

“Grant is a great player and always fun to play with,” Baird said. “We went back and forth on the back nine but it’s always good to come out on top.”

He added his putting was on and off during the round.

“I made that 20-footer so that was nice,” he said. “But overall I made a couple I should have missed and missed a couple that I should have made. That’s golf. You just try to stay in control and hold on for dear life.”

Senior

Tim Bremer had back-to-back birdies late in the round to win the Senior Division by a stroke.

It was Bremer’s first SNGA crown in just his third start.

“It was a good day,” Bremer said. “I had a pretty good front nine but then hit it out of bounds on 10 for a double bogey. That wasn’t good but I hung in there.”

Then came his shot of the day.

“I hit my seven-iron to about two feet on 15 for a birdie,” he said. “That felt good. Then I made about a 12-footer on 16 for birdie. Those were definitely the key to the day for sure.”

Now, he’s hoping for more.

“I’m retiring next March,” he said. “That will be a good kickstart to playing more golf in the future.”

He’s hoping to not only play more, but practice more.

“I want to work on my short game,” he said. “With more time, I’m hoping I can tighten that up.”

Silver

Tony Caiazzo won on the SNGA scene for the first time in three years, posting a scorecard victory in the Silver Division.

Caiazzo’s last victory was a team event, the 2022 SNGA Team Championship when he teamed up with Gary Carpendale to win the title.

“I drove it well, hit a lot of greens and made some putts,” Caiazzo said. “Put that together and good things can happen.”

Caiazzo wasn’t sure about his chances of even playing in the tournament.

“I’m getting back surgery in January,” he said. “I haven’t been playing much for obvious reasons but I had an epidural and all of that and felt good enough to tee it up and give it a try.”

In the end, he said just getting the chance to play SNGA events is always a blessing.

“I always appreciate the chance to play the good golf courses the tournaments are held on,” he said. “And there are a lot of great players in the community who have stellar records and just getting the chance to compete against them is great.”

And now he’s back in the winner’s circle.

“I have a saying,” he said. “ ‘You know it’s in the bag, you just don’t know how deep in the bag you have to go to get it.’ Today I found out that I’ve done it before and now I feel like I can do it again.”

Kaleb Jenkins birdied nine of the 18 holes (seven net and two natural) in winning an SNGA title for the first time.

Jenkins won the division by five strokes.

“What a fun day,” Jenkins said. “I got lucky with some of the pin placements and I hit my irons pretty well today…I’ll take it.”

Jenkins added his play on the greens was also solid.

“I was pretty happy with my putting,” he said. “I left a few out there but I definitely hit some putts that helped me bring it home. I also had a few really good par-saving putts that really helped, that’s for sure.”

Now he’s going to be looking at competing in more SNGA events.

“It was awesome,” he said of the tournament. “The SNGA has a lot of cool opportunities for golfers and I’m looking forward to playing in more of them going forward.”
