Four Teams Claim Titles at 2025 SNGA 4-Ball Tour Event at Paiute Golf Resort
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 15, 2025)–Scott Lytle-Matt Mitchell (Championship), Alan Bluhm-Alex Bluhm (Senior), David Foggia-Terry Seck (Silver) and Matthew Steed-David Schutt (Net) teamed up to win titles at the SNGA Tour’s Four-Ball tournament. Scott Lytle and Matt Mitchell posted three birdies in a five-hole stretch en route to victory in the Championship Division.
The duo also teamed up to win the 2024 SNGA Team Championship.
“We make a pretty good team,” Mitchell said. “Scott always goes first off the tee and he’s about the straightest hitter in Nevada so he usually takes the pressure off me.”
Mitchell said the weather conditions added to the challenge of the course.
“It was really windy,” he said. “We just tried to take advantage of the downwind holes and then try to hang on with the others.”
They did that well.
“In the beginning there are three pretty easy holes in the first seven and we birdied all three,” Mitchell said. “A lot of times we just tried to make putts…to make pars. It didn’t always work out but we played pretty solid today.”
And that solid play included thinking their way around.
“It’s such a challenging course,” Mitchell said. “You’ve got to stay focused or you’ll make mistakes. And with all of the water and desert out here, mistakes can prove very costly. Keep the ball in play on the grass and you can make recovery shots and that’s what we tried to stay focused on.”

Senior
Alex Bluhm and younger brother Alan Bluhm won a scorecard playoff to claim the Senior title.
They beat Gordon Schiring and John Bobroski for the title. Both teams birdied the 17th hole but both then bogeyed the 18th setting up the scorecard playoff.
It was Alex Bluhm’s second SNGA win as he also won in early 2022. It was Alan Bluhm’s first SNGA title.
“We just played very steady golf,” Alex Bluhm said. “If I was out of a hole, Alan stepped up and played well. Having four bogeys and three birdies is pretty good golf for us.”
Alex Bluhm added playing with his brother is always fun.
“I always enjoy hanging out with him,” he said. “We’ve been golfing since we were 14 or 15…a long time.”
Alex Bluhm said the 10th hole typified their day.
“We both hit it down the fairway but Alan was about 40 yards in front of me,” he said. “I hit a nice wedge but it flew off the back of the green. He hit a shot to about 10 feet so we were sitting pretty good. But then I hit an impossible chip and made it for a birdie. That just proves you can never give up on a hole. You never know what shot will put you over the top.”
Alex Bluhm said his brother put it all in perspective.
“He said ‘Does that mean we get to play in the Tournament of Champions?’” he said with a laugh. “We have to juggle work schedules sometimes and I’m sure we will be able to be there for that tournament.”

Silver
David Foggia and Terry Seck played consistent golf–14 pars, two birdies and two bogeys–and won the Silver title in a scorecard playoff.
It was the first team title for Foggia-Seck.
Foggia was quick to point out they needed a little help to post the victory.
“(Ron Harwood and Ed Jablonski) tripled the last hole or we don’t win,” Foggia said. “I hit two good shots on the hole and then two-putted for a par. They both had trouble but I thought they had still won with a double but they wound up with a seven and we came out on top with the scorecard playoff.”
It was the first time Foggia teamed up with Seck in a team event and it worked out well.
“I was supposed to play with John Steele but his dad passed away,” Foggia said. “Terry stepped in and played great. He got a birdie to save a hole and he just played solid all day.”
Foggia said their round was uneventful…which he said was a good thing.
“We didn’t play bad but we didn’t play that good,” he said. “Paiute is an awesome course but when there’s wind, it’s quite a challenge.”
As an example, Foggia pointed to one of the par 5s.
“I was on in two and hit my eagle putt 10-feet past the hole,” he said. “I then three-putted from there…for a four-putt. Luckily Terry saved us with a par.”

Net
Matthew Steed and David Schutt had four birdies on each nine– including three natural and five net–in winning the Net title by one stroke.
It was the first SNGA victory for both players. It was also the first SNGA tournament they have entered.
“Matthew is a member at Paiute and I was a member a couple of years ago so this was the perfect spot for us,” Steed said. “And I feel that out of the three courses, this one (Snow Mountain) is the best. I just love playing out here.”
Steed added their teamwork worked perfectly.
“The fact that we had two balls in play on just about every hole was key,” he said. “It gave us a lot of good looks and we took advantage quite a few times.”
He said another part of their plan came into view on the final hole of each nine.
“The ninth and 18th holes are tough,” he said. “We just tried to play it safe on those two and attack other holes. We also didn’t have any blowup holes where we were both out of it.”
