It was Horodesky’s third win of 2024–two individual titles and one team victory.
“I hit it well…I just wish I could have made some more putts,” he said. “But for the little that I play, it’s working out.”
Horodesky said the day was solid.
“I’m pretty happy with the game right now,” he said. “The ball-striking was good today but I still need to work on my chipping and putting. They aren’t where I would like them to be. But there were a lot of positives.”

Greg Hudson rode a roller-coaster round to an even-par score of 72 in winning an SNGA event for the first time.
Hudson posted an eagle, two birdies, four bogeys and 10 pars in his four-shot victory.
“It was my first win and it was awesome,” he said. “To shoot even-par was special. I’ve played other amateur events but the SNGA events are the top ones and to play this well at Boulder Creek was great.”
He said his mindset was the key to the day.
“It was a little windy so keeping my head in the game getting off the tee box was very important,” he said. “I handled that well and kept the ball in play. I let my game take it from there.”
But at times, his mind did wander…just a little.
“When you start thinking about where you’re at and your score, the mind can start racing,” he said. “I had to settle back and take it one shot at a time. It worked out very well.”

Bruce Chamberlain was happy to win an individual title for the first time in 2024.
The victory was Chamberlain’s third in 2024 as he adds the individual title to go along with a pair of wins in team events.
Chamberlain said the day went perfectly.
“Everybody in the group was playing well and it was good competition,” he said. “We were all in the zone for awhile and I just stayed in it a little longer.”
Chamberlain said the individual title was special.
“It is good to win one on your own,” he said with a laugh. “But it was just a solid round…fairways and greens. I had two birdies and one bogey. It was actually pretty boring golf.”
But he wasn’t complaining.
“Any time I can shoot 71, I’ll take it,” he said. “It was one of my best rounds…I’m real happy with it.”

Larry Agan had net birdies on three of his first five holes and went on to post a three-stroke victory.
It was Agan’s first individual title of 2024 to go along with a team victory.
“It’s a great feeling to win, especially with a quad on No. 9,” he said. “But that ninth hole is tough so that can easily happen.”
He added he bounced back nicely.
“I really held my own on the back nine,” he said of his two-under effort.
Overall, he said his clubs were the difference.
“I’ve been fitted with new clubs…woods and irons,” he said. “I also picked up some decent wedges that have been working well. I got a new putter but I wasn’t sure whether to use it today. I did and it worked well.”
