On the line is one of the most prestigious women’s trophies in Nevada plus a chance to earn a coveted spot on the Southern Nevada Silver Cup team. Both are huge motivators and will surely get the adrenalin pumping.
But what golfers also look forward to is playing Reflection Bay, a course that features five holes played along the Lake Las Vegas shoreline and beautiful views of the Lake Las Vegas community and lake on nearly every hole and tee box.
In 2021, collegiate rivals Annick Haczkiewicz (gross) and Aliyah Williams (net) battled and each took home the overall trophies.
Walking away with Silver Cup invites were:
2021 Gross Qualifiers
Aliyah Williams, Ronda Henderson. Regina Quintero, Brenda Knott, Makenzie McMillen, Karen Herness, Laura Smith, Maria Rances and Carrie Langevin.
2021 Net Qualifiers
Helen Welsh, Debbie Love, Theresa Prospero, E Wright, Fay Geddes, Karen Schroeder, Monica Kaili, Clara Heo and Rusty Beckel.
Who will the lucky and skilled golfers be in 2022? There’s still time to sign up and take your shot (pun intended).
“This tournament really turns it up a notch for everyone,” says Sherry Jackson, WSNGA co-tourney chair. “It’s not only the Amateur but it’s the Silver Cup qualifying. If you make the Silver Cup team, you’ll work from June until the Silver Cup week to get ready. It’s a really big deal for everyone to get on that team.”
