This once-in-a-lifetime trip is to Spain and takes place Sept. 18-25, 2023, and includes watching the 2023 Solheim Cup, playing golf and taking in the sights and sounds of Spain.

Las Vegas LPGA members and golf instructors Kerri Clark and Karyn Dunphy are spearheading the effort to get the word out to Las Vegas women golfers about this experience.

“At first, Karyn and I got together with Barb Gutstadt, owner of Women’s Golf & Travel Concierge, and started talking about this and it got us excited,” Clark said. “She organizes these types of events and Karyn had been on a trip with them and it sounded like a wonderful opportunity.”

Clark is no stranger to worldly travel.

“I played on the European Tour so I’ve been to Spain but never to this part of Spain,” Clark said. “And to have this chance to go back with this type of experience is amazing. To be involved with the whole Solheim Cup excitement, from the opening ceremonies to the matches, is just going to be so special.”

A great thing about this trip is it’s not a one-size fits all package. In fact, there are four different trips that can be booked. Packages include hotels, excursions, golf (in some of the packages) and much more. One quick reminder that airfare is not included. Check the inclusions/exclusions each package offers.

And to cap off the trip, all of the packages include tickets to cheer on Team USA, led by captain Stacy Lewis, at the Solheim Cup which will be held Sept. 22-24, 2023, at Finca Cortesin Golf Course in Costa del Sol.

“This kind of trip is a great way to introduce women to golf around the world,” said Clark, who teaches at Wildhorse in Henderson and Eagle Crest in Sun City Summerlin. “It’s going to be an outstanding experience to see the Solheim Cup events, the golf itself and get to play some golf over there as well. This will be a great way to get players excited about the game and to see the world’s best players up close.”

So whether it’s the trip itself or the Solheim Cup or playing golf in Spain or touring the countryside, Clark said this is definitely a trip not to miss.

“Karyn and I are both signed up,” said Clark, a Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame member. “A lot of the ladies I teach, we’re not getting any younger and to have the chance to go over there with a group makes it a lot more fun. It’s just going to be a pretty awesome experience.”
