LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas’ premier PGA TOUR event, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, is returning for the 33rd consecutive year from Oct. 19-25 at TPC Summerlin. The full event listings include:
Friday, Oct. 16
This year’s Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will honor Voss Boreta, Barbara Christensen, Jerry Foltz and Doug Pool. The dinner will feature videos and acceptance speeches by each inductee and appearances by past inductees and PGA TOUR professionals. Earning induction into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame is among the highest honors a golfer with deep ties to the city can achieve. Saturday, Oct. 17
This year, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will host the first Ride for Love charity motorcycle event. The fundraising ride will begin at the Shriners Hospitals outreach clinic in Henderson at 8 a.m. The ride will conclude at TPC Summerlin, where organizers will announce the total amount raised for Shriners Hospitals for Children. All riders will receive one single day ticket voucher which can be used any day of the tournament.
Monday, Oct. 19
Each year, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open closes the course to the general public on Monday of tournament week to host students for Clark County School District Day. Throughout the day, children rotate between various breakout areas which feature curriculum focused on health and wellness, golf instruction, renewable energy and financial literacy.
Also taking place on Monday, University of Nevada Las Vegas alumnus and PGA TOUR professional Charley Hoffman will host the Charley Hoffman Foundation Las Vegas Pro Am benefitting the foundation he and his wife Stacy created. Established in 2009, the foundation raises awareness and financial support for a variety of children’s charities.
On Monday from noon to 7 p.m., SlotZilla at the Fremont Street Experience will donate all ticket sales to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The attraction is a 12-story, slot machine-inspired zip line that flies above the famed Fremont Street.
Tuesday, Oct. 20
Women are invited to leave their heels at home for the 5th annual Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon at The Hill from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the golf course’s tented hospitality venue overlooking the casual and scenic TPC Summerlin. Wednesday, Oct. 21
The top 36 PGA TOUR professionals participating in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will join amateurs as they take on the masterfully designed TPC Summerlin during the Championship Pro Am. Tee times and professional match-ups are decided by participants at the Pro Am Pairings Party held Tuesday, Oct. 20th at The Bank inside the Bellagio.
The Web.com Business Summit will provide small business owners free educational conferences and help with individual consulting for its second year at the tournament. Times will be announced at a later date.
Thursday, Oct. 22 – Sunday, Oct. 25
Come out to watch PGA TOUR professionals tee off and compete for the $1.152 million dollar prize. Following the final round of professional competition, an awards ceremony will be held on the 18th green.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will honor military members on Friday, Oct. 23 during Military Appreciation Day. Additional details to come.
Fans are encouraged to show their school spirit during College Colors Day on Saturday, Oct. 24 by wearing the colors associated with their favorite college or university.
Monday, Oct. 26
Foursomes will have the opportunity to play a PGA TOUR course following official tournament play at the Tough Day Challenge. The course will be in championship golf condition after some of the world’s best golfers have competed in the tournament.
Summer Sunday Ticket Offer:
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open celebrates summer with a special ticket offer available for purchase now through Sept. 23. With the purchase of one good any day ticket to The Hill, a luxurious 10,000-square-foot pavilion overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes, as well as the tournament grounds, guests will receive one FREE ticket to The Hill for championship Sunday.

Volunteer Registration Now Open:
Golf fans can get behind the ropes during the tournament by registering to volunteer. Volunteer registration is open now for $75. This fee helps to defray the tournament’s costs associated with each volunteer. This event is operated as a 501©3 charity and every available dollar is dedicated to our mission of raising awareness and money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Volunteers can select the committees on which they would like to serve based on their areas of interest.
Returning or new volunteers will receive a package which includes a uniform consisting of a polo golf shirt, jacket, baseball cap or visor (straw hats are available for an additional charge), meals during shift, Volunteer Appreciation Party, tournament badge, commemorative gift, week-long tournament pass and an invite to the Volunteer After-Party.
