Martin Laird Wins Playoff for Second Shriners Title
There are now three players who have won Las Vegas’ PGA Tour event, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, after Martin Laird won the 2020 rendition–without fans–in a playoff. It was his second Vegas victory (the other was in 2009) and he joins Jim Furyk (3 times) and Las Vegas resident Kevin Na (2 times) as those hitting the Vegas golf jackpot more than once. Laird finished tied with Mathew Wolfe and Austin Cook at 23-under par.
Here’s a highlight video of his victory.
