SNGA Champions Appreciate Rules Officials for Dedication, Knowledge, Spirit
They are there observing, volunteering and ruling. The dedicated USGA and SNGA rules officials who oversee official tournaments are always there to assist, and the six champions from the 2023 Clark County Amateur and Clark County Senior Amateur speak for all tournament players when they say, “Thanks.”
”
“Well, first of all, they’re volunteers and you couldn’t run the tournaments without them,” said Kelly Knievel, 2023 Clark County Senior Amateur champion. “And the fact that they volunteer their time out here, the players really appreciate it.”
Net champion Joe Noya thanks an official whenever he gets the chance.
“They’re incredibly important,” Noya said. “Every time I see them, I say thank you. It doesn’t matter how I’m playing. I make sure I drive over to them. They’re volunteering their time. They’re just great people. So, thank you to the SNGA.”
