We are back with another Sue’s Rules with Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame rules official Sue May. Here we go!

Question: I hit a shot from the fairway and it hit a ball resting on the putting green and moved it. What do we do now?

Sue May: Since you made a stroke from somewhere other than the putting green, you play your ball as it lies and the ball that was moved must be replaced. No penalty.

Question: If another player marked my ball for me  on the putting green who can replace it?

Sue May: You the player or any person who marked it or caused it to move may replace it.

Question: Is it a penalty when I tee my ball up and accidentally move it during my practice swing?

Sue May: Since your ball is not in play until you take a stroke at it from the tee, no penalty.
