Brady Exber Goes Back-to-Back With Stocker Cup Win
Las Vegas Golf Hall of Famer Brady Exber continues to play and be successful at the highest levels of the game. The 2014 British Senior Amateur Golfer of the Year and seven-time Southern Nevada Golf Association Player of the Year recently won the prestigious Stocker Cup for the second year in a row.
Exber became the first repeat champion of the event since fellow Southern Nevada amateur Kevin
Marsh did so in 2009-10.Exber fired rounds of 71-68-70—209 to win by three shots over Gene Elliott from Iowa. The Stocker Cup was founded in 1991 to honor the memory of Peter Stocker. The Stocker Cup was played from 1991 to 1999 at Pebble Beach and its surrounding golf courses, before moving to the Tom Fazio and Sandy Tatum designed Preserve G.C. Former USGA President Tatum described Stocker, who along with partners founded the Pacific Union Company in San Francisco, as “the quintessential amateur golfer. He loved golf with a passion. He would have loved this tournament.”
