As the SNGA always looks for new ways to reward and incentivize tournament players, the chase to qualify for the inaugural and prestigious SNGA Shootout comes down to the final majors of the year, the Clark County Senior Amateur and Clark County Amateur Oct. 24-27 at Boulder Creek. The top 12 overall players in each classification earn spots in the event at Red Rock. Here is a link to the full SNGA 2024 points standings.
Since the Senior and Silver divisions play net and gross for the entire field, the top 6 in each will be taken to the shootout. In the Championship and regular Net division, the top 12 golfers will qualify.

“We decided to incentivize the players,” Brand said. “The Player of the Year may already be decided earlier in the year but trying to qualify for this event will give players something to aim for later in the year.”
Plus the opportunity to play the private Red Rock Country Club offers golfers a reward to their good play throughout the 2024 season.
“The Clark County Amateur at Boulder Creek used to be in late November,” Brand said. “Now it’s at the end of October and that gave us a little extra time at the end of the year.”
The players will be eyeing the leaderboards and looking to clinch their spots in the final event, similar to the PGA Tour as players eye the Top 50 for the elevated events or Top 125 to secure their playing status for the following year. The intrigue will be real and a tradition is being created.
There are still opportunities in each classification for golfers from outside the top 6 to jump up and earn a spot in the SNGA Shootout.
