As we enter 2025, a quick look back on a very successful 2024.

We had a very good and busy year, and accomplished many of the goals set forth by our executive board. I thank our dedicated board and staff for making everything possible.

2024 was a very good year for us and, as always, our number one priority was membership and catering to each of our 18,000+ members. We were also very excited to create several partnerships including Topgolf Las Vegas, PopStroke, the Golden Knights, and others. With the current water situation, golfers will tend to go to new places and that is always top of mind for us. We also are a community steward and work with our allied golf associations for the betterment of the game.

We ended the year with a great promotion with the Showdown at Shadow Creek when many of our members were able to purchase exclusive tickets to attend and watch some of the best golfers in the world. Also, a very hearty THANK YOU to the Shriners Children’s Open team led by Patrick Lindsey. We are all heartbroken the event is leaving Las Vegas, but rest assured that you made a positive and indelible impact on golf in Southern Nevada over the last 17 years.

In 2024, the SNGA also added new events and fulfilled a jam-packed tournament schedule. Our Showdown at Red Rock Country club featured the top players in each division and has been established as a strong tradition. In all, the SNGA organized 57 SNGA, Women’s SNGA and state events at 43 courses. The overall economic impact to golf in Nevada was $275,376 spent at golf courses.

In 2025, it will be more of the same and we will continue to embrace our members. We will continue to expand our membership and partner with the United States Golf Association. We will also continue our talks with the Northern Nevada Golf Association to hopefully bring the entire state together, something that the USGA is pushing to be done. This collaboration will be good for Nevada golf at every level.

Also, we have partnered with the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association to run their junior events and streamline the process. The SNGA has always been committed to junior golf in Southern Nevada and this only strengthens that commitment.

We look forward to announcing additional new events and partnerships in 2025 and we thank you for your membership. Good golfing!
