Historical Look at Rules Plus Clarification Is a Phone Call Away
The Rules of Golf are like a living, breathing document. In the history of golf, there have been changes, revisions and plenty of discussion about their overall fairness–or unfairness (depending upon what side of the ruling you are on!). During your down time–is that such a thing in this day and age?–take a moment to look at the overall history of the rules. It’s interesting and informative.
And we have mentioned in a previous email, but very much worth a reminder, is that not only are the SNGA rules experts available to assist with questions, but the USGA offers a phone line that is open seven days per week plus ways to email questions. Now that’s service and a great way to settle any tournament or 19th hole disputes.

In 2019, the most revision in decades was made to the rules and here is the link to anything and everything you need and want to know about the new rules, which went into effect in January 2019.
