Bear’s Best Las Vegas is a configuration of 18 of Jack Nicklaus’ favorite holes that he has designed in the West and Mexico. On June 6-7, some of the top women golfers in Nevada will take to the course for the prestigious Nevada State Women’s Partners. It is another in a long line of big events for Bear’s Best.

The event features two-player teams competing against other teams in both net and championship divisions. Golfers from both the Women’s Northern Nevada Golf Association (WNNGA) and Southern Nevada Golf Association (WSNGA) are expected to play.
The defending champions are Regina Quintero (WSNGA) and Ruth Maxwell (WNNGA) in the gross division while Lori Elliott (WNNGA) and Elaine Walker (WNNGA) won the net division.
Just prior to the Women’s Partners event, Bear’s Best is the host course for the NCAA Men’s Golf Division I Golf Regional. General Manager Greg Brockelman loves the spotlight being placed on Bear’s Best and will welcome both the college golfers and women amateurs with open arms.
“It’s a huge honor to host an event of this magnitude and to work with an organization that has the stature of the NCAA,” Brockelman said about the NCAA playoffs. “We look forward to hopefully bringing more NCAA Championships to Las Vegas. This shows that the NCAA, UNLV and the LVCVA have confidence in this property, in this operation, and our ability to conduct an event that we can all be proud of when it is finished. It has definitely been a partnership between the invited clubs, UNLV and the LVCVA that made this happen. We probably wouldn’t have even nominated ourselves had we not had the support from UNLV and the LVCVA, so we are very appreciative to be included.”
