Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Class of 2023 – Warren Schutte
On Oct. 7, the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Class of 2023 Night of Induction was held in the new Shriners Children’s Open Club360 VIP venue. The event was sold out with 270 guests and more than 30 hall of famers in attendance. Please enjoy the official Warren Schutte induction video.
Also inducted were Chuck Bombard, Tim Cashman, Jim Hart and Todd Roberts.
Schutte, from South Africa, was the player who put UNLV men’s golf on the map when he won the 1991 NCAA individual title. His victory solidified UNLV Head Coach Dwaine Knight and the UNLV program, and helped attract future recruits such as Edward Fryatt, Chris Riley, Jeremy Anderson, Ryan Moore and Adam Scott among others.
In 1998, the Rebels won the team title and Moore won an individual title in 2004.
The Night of Induction was the official kickoff of PGA Tour week in Las Vegas and the first-ever event in the Club360 venue that features panoramic views of holes 1, 16, 17 and 18 and of the entire Las Vegas valley. It is the place to be for the Shriners Children’s Open.
