South Hosts Nevada State Net Am – Godfrey Wins
It was a big three days at the historic Las Vegas National Golf Club as both the Nevada State Net Amateur and Nevada State Mid-Amateur tournaments were played and organized by the Nevada State Golf Association. Michael Godfrey won the net title after a marathon golf session. Godfrey also won the 2017 Southern Nevada Championship crown (Net Division) played at Las Vegas National. “I think this is my favorite course,” he said with a laugh. “I think maybe every tournament should be played here.” Godfrey’s home course is Las Vegas National. — By Brian Hurlburt and Bill Bowman, Las Vegas Golf Insider.
