At the world-renowned Cascata, the team from the Southern Nevada Golf Association defeated the team from the PGA of America, Southwest Section, Southern Nevada Chapter to win the annual Southern Nevada Cup. The SNGA now leads the series 4-3 with two ties as Andrew Hawk led the way for the SNGA securing two points. –By Brian Hurlburt
“I think what it comes down to is just keeping our composure,” Hawk said. “I see my teammates at tournaments here and there, but we’re always competing against each other. The whole team format is probably my favorite. It’s good to come out here to play with them and have some fun while we do it.”
Team SNGA was Preston Harris, Andrew Hawk, Daren Johnson, Scott Lytle, Matt Mitchell, Todd Roberts, Joe Sawaia and Rick Sepp.
Team PGA was Brandon Bauman, Kim Dolan, Jason Edmiston, Kevin Lim, Garry Montiel, Jonathan Osornio, Kelby Scharman and Jon Scolari.
