WSNGA Covid-19 Updates from President
From WSNGA President Karen Herness:
We hope this finds each of our members and their loved ones healthy and safe during these most challenging times. As a board, we are continually communicating about the best ways to move forward while ensuring the health and safety of players and volunteers.
Any tournament scheduling at this point in time is still a guessing game with the current state of affairs. As a board, we made the following decisions based on information we have right now:
– Team Play has been canceled this season by a vote of the teams involved. When the courses reopen, we hope to still hold a Team Play Party with an 18-hole golf game, still to be determined, and a social food dining following.
– Our recommendation to the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association Board will be to cancel the Quad this year. We look forward to full field in 2021.
– We plan to add the Senior Amateur to the Amateur/Silver Cup Qualifier, which right now is scheduled for June 15-16 at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. If the Amateur/Silver Cup Qualifier cannot proceed as scheduled, we hope to move it to the end of August or first of September.
– The Nevada State Women’s Amateur is scheduled for July 17-18 at Reflection Bay and we hope it will proceed as scheduled. We will follow the SNGA’s lead if they reschedule the men’s Amateur that is to be held the week prior to ours.
Thank you and we will be in touch with additional details.
